New York Times Hides Berger's Shame

If anyone still had any doubts about the New York Times being the Democrat establishment's house organ, today's edition is a hoot.

The scandal-plagued paper has buried the day's big news, about Sandy "Light Fingers" Berger, at the bottom of Page A16 in a seven-paragraph wire story. This unpleasant reality isn't even mentioned on the front page, though there was room to promote such "urgent" hard news as "Two Campaigns, Two Visions."

Story Continues Below

Even USA Today made Berger its lead today.

The Times then compounded its embarrassment by refusing to correct on its Web site the print edition's catastrophic bias.

The Web site's lead as of 9:40 a.m. EDT: "Governors Tell of War's Impact on Local Needs"

The urgent breaking news below that: "Rebuilding Iraq, a Well at a Time"

The urgent breaking news below that: "Basic Training Doesn't Guard Against Insurance Pitch to G.I.'s [sic]"

Under the headline below that, "President Says U.S. to Examine Iran-Qaeda Tie," is a small link to "Clinton Aide Took Classified Material"
But imagine the Times' screaming headline if Condoleezza Rice did the same thing ...
